Quartiere della Kalsa
Located between Via Garibaldi and Via Paternostro, this ancient quarter of the old city was originally designed during the Middle Ages as a separate area to house the city's leaders. Damaged during World War II, there are several historical churches, including La Magione, constructed in 1191, crumbling palaces and examples of architecture from Palermo's various periods of rule.
